Inside Iroquois Ridge High School
The Holiday Marketplace is a wonderful, annual event that began when Iroquois Ridge High School opened its doors in 1994.
A large part of our vendors have been with us since the inception of the event.
Over the years, we have geared towards hand made products from our vendors, some whom come as far as Barrie, Ontario to be with us on the first Saturday of November.
We've always appreciated how loyal our customers have been over the years, as they continue to anticipate and attend our event.
Here's to those who even line up early, sometimes in the cold weather, just to be the first to see what our vendors are offering for this year!
We welcome customers from all over Ontario!
Our student volunteers are instrumental in having the entire event run smoothly.
From setting up on the Friday afternoon, to greeting and assisting the vendors on a very early Saturday morning, right down to the awesome job they do, each year, cleaning up after the event - these Grades 9-12 volunteers are the heart of this operation.
Looking forward to another smooth event this 2024!
Sonia Ennis is the original creator and organizer of The Holiday Marketplace. She was an original staff member when Iroquois Ridge High School first opened - they were called ‘The Pioneers.”
We couldn’t think of a more fitting term than that! Sonja’s commitment to The Holiday Marketplace continued for many years, several of which was even after she retired.
Thank you Sonja for starting something that has continued on for 30 years. Thank you for setting the tone and providing the foundations for what has turned out to be such a classy and elegant show. We are grateful that you were able to join us for the 30th year.
We appreciate you! We wouldn’t be here now without you! ❤️ .
